The Wombats “In a Minute” Zontar Must Die! (Voxx Records, 1984)

SUPER and not to be confused with the indie band from the UK that formed in 2003.

Junior Varsity’s Go! To the Ice Cream Social 7” (1996)

This is one of those great garage bands that was in it for the goofy fun. I love these kinds of records; 7-minutes of cheer. “Two Scoops” is my favorite track; I played it almost every time I dj’d. You have to be a turd not to enjoy it. Maybe one of the best things to come out of Houston in the 90s.

Ko and the Knockouts “If I” S/T (2002)

This album was ok, I guess. Not great. I have a lot of records like this from Sympathy for the Record Industry. Ko’s gone on to better things now and I think most people know her from her Underground Garage dj’ing and The Dirtbombs. Anyway, I liked her band. They were good fun live and I still play the record. I saw them in Denver at Larimer Lounge, I think.

Holly Golightly “Virtually Happy” The Good Things (1995)

Originally a 10” release on Damaged Goods; at least, that’s how I purchased it. There wasn’t a 12”. Anyway, the record is worth hunting down. It was her first full-length post Thee Headcoatees.

The Golden Horde “The Name on the Bullet was Mine” In Reality (1986)

Great Irish power garage-pop act with three albums from 1985-1991.

The Peels “Fun” b-side of the more famous a-side track, “Juanita Banana” from 1966.

The Shangrilas “Out in the Streets” Shangri-Las-65! (1965)

The uploader put this remastered track up with the wrong LP artwork. This song is from The Shangrilas other 1965 LP, Shangri-Las-65! not Leader of the Pack, which is understandable, I guess, since that album is much more famous.

Garry & Larry “Garlic Bread” Goliath 7” from 196? covering a Bobby Hart song. I don’t think Boyce & Hart ever recorded it. I can’t find out much more about this song and Garry & Larry. Great track. I first heard it on the Romulan Records compilation, Frolic Diner, which was available first in the late 1990s.

Flamin’ Groovies “Teenage Head” Teenage Head (1971)

The Dantes “80-96” Jamie 7” b-side with “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” a-side (1966)

Homer Dennison Jr. “March Slav Boogie” Brunswick 7” b-side w/ “Chicken Run” a-side, 1959.

Love “My Flash on You” Love (1966)

The uploader attached the wrong LP artwork on this video. The image above is for the first LP Da Capo. This track is from their second release in 1966, which was S/T.
