The Modds “Leave My House” (1966)
If it works, break it.
I would become farts of flowers, farts of weeds, farts of trees,
bubbling farts of stagnant ponds.

Speaking of overlooked bands, La Secta is amazing. From Spain. I have a bunch of their 45s. Our Kicks on Sympathy for the Record Industry is always popping up in record stores. This is one of those bands I always found in the dollar bin at Wax Trax in Denver. Miss that place.
La Secta “(We get what) We Deserve” (1992)
The Split Ends “Rich With Nothin’” (1966)
The Stoics “Hate”
great stuff/dj candy
This is from the great 1997 LP, American Slang, released by Sympathy for the Record Industry. I remember buying this at Wax Trax Records in Denver.

The Nomads, Showdown! 1981-1993 (1994, Amigo. I think this is a reissue of the 94 release on White Jazz Records who released Showdown Vol 2.) A great anthology of this awesome garage band’s first decade. I think I saw them in 1995 at the Bluebird Theatre in Denver. Around then anyway. I loved this band.
