F.U.2 “F.U.2” Punk Rock by… (1977)
If it works, break it.
I would become farts of flowers, farts of weeds, farts of trees,
bubbling farts of stagnant ponds.

Echoes of the Past (2006)
I uploaded Part One several days ago. Here’s the massive, Part Two. Torrent available on Demonoid.
From the torrent description:
Here’s part two of a three-part series of torrents on some of the best 1980s hardcore albums. The first torrents included albums from the first half of Pushead’s famous top 80s hardcore records list that he published in the March 1990 issue of Thrasher. It’s because of this (in)famous list that many of the albums on the list are now over-priced rarities on the intarwebs. In this torrent, I’ve included what I have from the second half of his list, #50-100. Part Three will include other albums that could have made the list and some compilations, maybe a little punk, too.

I’m missing, can you believe it, two of the records and wasn’t able to find good copies for this torrent. The Agnostic Front album is easy to find. The other a little more difficult, but it’s around. Missing are: #60) Agnostic Front United Blood 7” and #81) Underdog Underdog 7” EP, from 1986.
As with the last torrent, you’ll find some extras included. For example, I uploaded all the Sore Throat I have. I uploaded the 90s Anagram release of The Partisans’ Police Story because it has more tracks included. Why not? I love The Partisans. I included a later issue of Bad Religion’s How Could Hell Be Any Worse. Much more music on that, too.
I’m trying to put together a Part Three to this with albums that shoulda made it on Pushead’s original list. I’ll be placing several comps on it as well. I’ll post that torrent soon. Until then, you’ve got plenty to listen to, meatheads.ENJOY!
The mp3s are all of varying quality and from various sources. I seed as often as possible. My torrents represent me missing my record collection, which is in storage in the US. I figure, I found all this music, why not share and share alike. Please be patient and help seed. Send me any questions, notes, comments. Have fun with the music. It’s great stuff.
I listen to this from time to time. I love it. You should love it. But the best thing about Lewis’s history of punk rock in anti-folk style is the work’s ability to piss off the English, who like to whine about how they created punk rock all the time. Not that I really care who started punk rock at all, but that I love hearing English assholes whine about who started it. Not that all English are assholes, just the ones who like to whine about how Great Great Great Britain is all the time. Those guys are all assholes. (Like the USA patriot crowd. They’re all nationalists. I’ve got no time for that crap.)
Anyway, we know it all starts with guys like Chuck Berry, with black Americans whom the English rock and freakbeat guys all loved. After all, Chuck Berry was attracting a global and hip white audience prior to 1955. It’s his desire to mix country and R&B to develop his own sound that rocked, his mixing of traditional vocal styles—they say he wanted to sing R&B with Nat King Cole’s style—that is an early version of what we punks like to call DIY. What became punk came from the USA without a doubt. The language and the style. It’s ours. Like Jazz.
Anyway, Lewis’s version of punk begins with Harry Smith. I like his take, too. Harry Smith was a record collector, you know. He knew wherefrom this attitude came.
Eat it England! KEEP THE FAITH, motherfuckers.
